I heard my Mum on the phone talking about a vet appointment! I sure hope it isn't for me, but if it is, here are 13 reasons I'm not going;
- Apparently, I need my booster shots! What? I don't need no boost, I can jump just fine by myself.
- I am going to a new vet because Mum is disgusted with the old one - I don't really need to meet any new peoples at the moment - my quota for peoples in my life is filled right now.
- Umm....the PTU is lost, I don't know where it is. We can't go without the PTU.
- Mum, you don't want to hurt your back lugging me and the PTU out to the red metal monster - think of yourself!
- I have something planned for that day - what do you mean you haven't told me which day it is? I have something planned every day next week.
- I can't find my collar and I can't go outside without my collar.
- I think it is supposed to rain that day, you might get wet lugging me around.
- You will miss some work, you don't want to do that!
- Ummm.....the appointment is scheduled during my nap time, you know how I get if I don't get all my naps.
- The vet is undoubtedly going to tell me I am fat, that hurts my feelings and my self esteem, you wouldn't want my self esteem to dwindle would you? I could become anorexic or something.
- I could get a sore throat from crying the whole 3 minute drive to the vet!
- You know how I shed alot when I get scared! I will ruin your outfit and you will have to go back to work all furry!
- What if there is some sort of attack animal in the waiting area? I could get maimed!

Kellie . . . you obviously have very valid reasons for NOT going to the nasty VET. I'm sure your mom will take all of them into consideration and spare you.
If she doesn't, feel free to hide out with us.
I think just one of those reasons is more than enough to Not go to the vet!

Those are very good reasons not to go the vet. I sure hope it works convincing your human though, they can be the worst about reasons.
Maybe that is why they are also unreasonable?

I don't see how your mom can possibly disagree.
Some advice for you if you do have to go... I used to take the late great Mr. Max to the University vet hospital for his checkups. They have a huge waiting area that undoubtedly would be full of big dogs when we arrived. max would howl and bring the attention of all the dogs to him. I'd advise against that.
Those are GREAT reasons not ta go ta the V-E-T! We hope Mom is payin attenshun...

Those are all furry good reasons, but the trubble is that humans aren't furry good at lissuning to reason.

Oh Kellie my sweetheart! These are all very good reasons that you cannot go to the V-E-T. I have another one for you! I am home from Burma on a short pass. I will only be around for those days that your mommy might take you to see this V-E-T. So you cannot go! But if somehow your mommy finds the PTU, please put your paws over your ears if the V-E-T tells you that you are F-A-T. I would not change one OUNCE from your beautiful graceful form.
Besides, you have to come and eat something wonderful at Dr Tweety's Itty Bitty Cafe'!
Oh, and Kellie, mommy says that next week I get to have a post a Dr TWeety's blog. I don't know how my brother will feel about that, but I think that mommy says I will have some new handsome pictures too.

These are 13 really important reasons to not go to the vet! But I think your Mommy is doing this because she loves you, so you should listen to her! Pumuckl also hates the vet and his smell.
