The Sloth Walk

If I arrive home with my hands full of groceries, straining to carry them, I can be sure that this will be the time that Kellie decides to use her sloth walk.

I'll open the door while balancing groceries on my knee only to find that she is laying on her back for her usual tummy rub, once she realizes she won't be getting her tummy rub she slowly gets up and saunters down the hallway as slowly as possible. Meanwhile I am trying desperately not to drop everything while I urge her to hurry up, but she's not worried as she proceeds slowly down the hall making sure that I'm not able to overtake her on the side.

She also uses the sloth walk if I am in a hurry to get to the kitchen because a pot is boiling over, or if I am hurrying to the bathroom, she seems to be able to sense I'm in a hurry and then sneakily places herself in front of me.

I like the "sloth walk" description. I can picture that. I know what that is.
