It's so hard to get good help

I am finding it harder and harder to get my Mum to comply with my every need and whim. Today she had to travel to a city an hour away for a medical test and she arrived home at 6:00! My dinner is at 5:10! She usually works until 5:00 and I give her 10 minutes to get home and open my stinky goodness. I was barely alive when she waltzed in the door at 6:00 as if nothing is wrong. She didn't even notice I had fainted from hunger and was barely coherent. I bravely pulled myself into the kitchen to my food dish to obtain nourishment, all the while she is happily asking me how my day went! Has she no eyes, can't she see that I am thin and wasting away?
I was also not able to visit my friends blogs today because she is galavanting around the country, what's a cat to do?

Thankfully, I don't hold grudges and all was forgiven when I was able to curl up on her lap and nap while she read. I love napping with my Mum : )

I'm sorry to hear that your dinner was late! Humans can be so inconsiderate! Napping with humans is always wonderful, though.

Yes, I can see how thin you look. You probably barely made it to the food bowl in time to swallow a few bites! Poor thing. I recommend taking a long nap.

You could try what Theo does when I'm tardy- just keep licking your mom's legs until she gets the message. Of course she has to be home on time for that to work...

Damn humans! When will they ever learn? They can feed themselves whenever they want. They must think about US first. This is unacceptable behavior. I say you should picket.

Poor Kellie! I think you must be given EXTRA Temptations to make up for this.

We do not like it when dinner is late either. Do they expect us to starve? Or open the stinky goodness by ourselves? Sheesh!

That's terrible that you had to wait for your dinner. That is really bad service at your house. I'm glad you had a good nap to make up for it.

I think you should demand extra treats for tardiness!

Your blog color goes so well with the wood floor and with your furs - it's pretty.

I'm sorry you almost starved. But all's well that ends well, I guess.

Kellie,

I totally understand. Mom came home wicked late the other night, and didn't even feed us before she used the human litterbox. And whenever I mrow and meow and do it OVER AND OVER trying to get her attention, she just doesn't get it.

Honestly! Good thing she has other qualities. She gives good scritches.

It -is- hard to get good help.
