Tattle Tail Tuesday #5

A few years back my Mum went for a walk with Grandma. Grandma was recovering from a stroke and had to use a walker. A few houses from Grandma and Grandpa's a great big German Shepherd that they didn't know came out of a yard and started growling and barking at them and what did my Mum do..............................

She hid behind Grandma!

Now to make the picture complete you have to realize that not only was poor frail little Grandma using a walker, but at 5'9" my Mum is 7 inches taller than Grandma!

The owner of the dog called it away and that is when Mum realized what she had done, Grandma and Mum couldn't stop laughing. Mum couldn't believe that she had actually hidden behind her own little Mom!

Not long ago Mum saw a re-run of Seinfeld where George tramples the little kids and old people at a birthday party when the fire alarm goes off - this is when she remembered about her own shameful past!

I guess no matter how old or big we get we keep expecting our parents to protect us!

That's funny. As I was reading about your mom's bravery, I was thinking about that Seinfeld episode. I can't say I blame your mom though (or george either), I would probably do the same thing.

I think you have a very fierce Grandma, to fight off a German Shepard using her walker and protect your mom. That is a very good tattle!

Sadly, my Bean would try to pet the German Shepard and would end up sticking her arm down it's throat and getting bit. That's just the way she is.

Wow, Kellie . . . what a great tattle! I laughed and laughed . . . it was like I could see it!

My mommy is like Diamond's bean . . . she would have tried to make friends with it and would have wound up in the hospital. So maybe your mommy and your fierce grandma were right!

That is too funny! But you know what? It is really a tribute to your mom's mother, that feeling that if something scares you, your mom will always protect you. No matter what.

Does this mean she would not extend her arm across small beans or kitties in the car in a sudden stop? Hmmm. Noted.

That was a funny tattle on your Mom Kellie! My Mom would probably do the same thing because she is a little scairt of big dogs. A big dog jumped on her and knocked her down when she was little and she is still scairt of them.

dear Kelly, in answer to your question: the human isn't quite sure exactly how I am obtaining the kfc. Tonight I returned with two huge pieces, albeit with little meat on them. Anyway, it doesn't take Einstein to figure out that tonight is actually bin night when all the neighbourhood rubbish is put out for collection tomorrow. It's too gross to blog about, really - so I shall continue to pretend that the neighbours are feeding me. Ha ha.

Mwa ha ha ha xx

This is a wonderful tattle tail, I think all beans see a bit of themselves in it! I'm sure it gave your grandma some sense of empowerment ... or maybe she just felt extreme gratitude that the dog owner got there quick hehe.

Purrrs,

That is funny but probably very instinctive. We want our parents to protect us, even if we would be better protecting them.

Kellie my dear,
When we go on our cruise, your mommy does not have to hide behind your granmommy. She can hide behind me! I will protect all of your family. I am the ultimate guard dog. In fact, my mommy says that I am her "Baby Siamese Husky Dog!"
I am thinking about the lovely Valentine card you made for me.
Sweet dreams,
Maximillian

We think our mom would act the same way as Diamond E. E.'s mom would. Mom has been known to try to help people with pit bulls and she doesn't like pits. She says she can't help it.

My mommy understands. Even now, when she is sick, she wants her mommy, and she is 32!

I was thinking that all us kitties who have evil alter egos should form a club. Maybe we could have T-shirts?
