Tattle Tail Tuesday #1 - One of Mum's Embarassing Moments

My friend Annie over at Mosaic Cats has come up with Tattle Tail Tuesday and I LOVE the idea of tattling on my Mum.

This week I will start with one of Mum's embarassing moments, she has many. Of course, she told me these in confidence, but hey I've got a blog to fill (sorry Mum). Here it is, as told to me in a blithering confession after the event;

A couple of years ago Mum had an appointment at the hospital with a doctor she had never seen before to look at some stomach problems she was having. She parked her car, got out, stepped on the bottom of one pant leg, slipped on the ice and ..........RIP....she ripped her pants. The big question does she run home and change or just forge ahead and hope for the best. As she was running late, she forged ahead, the rip couldn't be that bad after all. As she gathered herself together in the elevator and assessed the situation she realized with horror that the rip was far worse than she had suspected. She had ripped her pants from the waistband in the back all the way through the crotch to the front waistband! She was panicking, but decided to tie her fluffy down jacket around her waist and arrange the sleeves to cover the front - not a good look for a......... mmmmm....... how do I put this nicely..... a plus size woman (sorry again Mum). She received some odd looks from the receptionist as she plunked herself in a chair to wait, she was starting to calm down because of course she would get a gown to wear before she saw the doctor - no problem, everything was going to be okay! The doctor called her in, there was no gown, he just wanted her to lay back and slide her pants down her hips a bit - ARGH! Horror upon horrors, she layed back and slid her pants down her hips a bit, although she really needn't have, her pants had no crotch! All the time her brain was yelling "MENTION THAT YOU FELL IN THE PARKING LOT AND RIPPED YOUR PANTS-EXPLAIN THE SITUATION TO HIM", but no her brain would not co-operate and she just layed there with her ripped pants. She barely heard what he was saying to her because her brain was yelling at her. I'm sure somewhere in her medical file there is a notation on this event and perhaps a request that she seek help : )
Can you believe I have to live with this blundering bean? I have plenty of tails to fill up Tattle Tale Tuesday, My Mum walks through life like Mr. Magoo : ) Until next week...

Oh Dear! Honestly Kellie, my Mommy works in health care and that story is T.A.M.E. tame compared to what she has witnessed. Trust me, that Dr. did not bat an eye!

That's a funny story. Maybe that is why cats are superior to humans- they don't need to wear any pants and they don't feel embarrased by that...

Oh, your poor mommy! I'm sure no one thought about it as much as she thought they did. . . but my mommy tells me that she would have been mortified as well.

Oh no! That was not good! Yet, it is funny to us kitties - we knew we were smart never to wear pants!

Hahahahaha! That's a good one! As if going to the doctor is not bad enough. My Mommie gets embarrassed very easily, so she understands how your mom must have felt.

Oh Kellie, Kellie, Kellie,
I KNEW you would come through with flying colors! Mosaic Lady was snorting halfway through (another repulsive habit of hers. One of the zillions.) Pathetically, she went through all three years of Catholic High School (they kicked her out for the fourth) with her uniform sweater tied around her waist in hopes of covering her, um... plus-sized school girl bum, shall we say? Really helps, doesn't it? Very slimming!

I'd like to take you up on the intervention offer. Do please call Dr. Phil. And tell him Robin is welcome, too. (I read her name in People, Kellie. We do NOT watch such tee vee drek in this house. We watch far worse drek.)

Hahahahahaha! That is a super funny story, Kellie. I'm glad you told us, even though your momma told you in confidence. A story that funny should be shared.

PS. Mommy didn't know about the big windstorm in BC!! She hopes that you are ok. Mommy's family live in Vancouver and she hasn't been able to find out if they're ok or if they lost power, etc.
